It hasn"t been seen officially before, and this snap (image) shows a classy look, with aluminium-effect trim, black leather and overlapping instrument dials. The Captiva debuts at July"s British Motor Show, and will be priced around ÷£20,000.

When the model arrives...

When the model arrives in June, the base FQ-300 will cost í‚á£27,999, with the FQ-320 and 340 priced at í‚á£29,999 and í‚á£32,999 respectively. Styling changes include revamped bumpers front and back, plus fresh Enkei alloys. Air-con and four airbags remain standard. Variable valve timing will give the IX improved refinement, economy and performance.

Meanwhile, arch-rival Subaru is offering a free power upgrade on Impreza WRX and STis purchased before the end of July. The Prodrive pack includes a remapped ECU and a free-flow exhaust to boost outputs to 265bhp and 305bhp respectively.
