Alcar-Wheelwright has added two new designs to its comprehensive range. First up is the Dotz Renegade. This tough-looking, 10-spoke rim comes in an Anthracite finish. It has a five-hole fitment, and is initially available only as an 18-inch wheel, with other sizes due later this year.

When the car hits dealers...

When the car hits dealers next month, buyers will be able to specify a variety of add-ons, including the Sport Plus bodykit (see image). It includes a lower front spoiler with a distinctive orange nose - as on the original SAV concept.

A spokesman for the brand said: "When we unveiled the SAV at last year"s Frankfurt Motor Show, the response was so strong we decided we had to offer customers a bodykit."

Complementing the distinctive nose are a pair of lower side sills, a tailgate-mounted rear spoiler and a fresh back bumper. Big 20-inch alloy wheels provide an aggressive stance, and enthusiastic drivers can even opt for lower and stiffer suspen-sion - although that"s not offered on examples equipped with Ford"s Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD) system.

All the extras are dealer-fit options, but you needn"t order the lot - if you want the look of the concept without firming up the ride, don"t tick the box for the bigger wheels and lower springs.

Prices for the revised suspension have yet to be announced, but the complete range of extras will set owners back around ÷£3,000. They can also be retro-fitted, for customers who want to get used to the look of the standard car before going for an upgrade.
