This new hi-tech G-Wiz has nearly twice the range of the original electric city car ò€“ and costs nearly double the price!

For Ò£15,795 ò€“ compared to Ò£7,995 for the standard model ò€“ the visually identical L-ion (below) gets lithium-ion batteries, instead of basic lead acid cells. It weighs 15kg less, and its range increases from 40 to 75 miles. Top speed is 51mph, and a fast charger restores power to 90 per cent in an hour. Existing owners can upgrade, but prices have yet to be confirmed.
