A latest-generation electronic stability programme adds to the Avant"s active safety credentials, while up to six airbags should ensure the car achieves a good Euro NCAP crash test score.
The new A6 Avant goes on sale in the UK early next year, with prices expected to start at í‚á£25,000 - a small premium over the equivalent saloon.
