Form an orderly Q ò€“ Audiò€™s biggest SUV has been given a host of updates! As well as a facelift, the latest Q7 gets a more efficient diesel engine.
The modifications will...
The modifications will be on the flagship VXR version, and are likely to filter down to the rest of the range, although that"s yet to be confirmed.
And not only will the Aussie Holden-inspired coup탩 look better than the current car, it will go faster, too. With a new 400bhp 6.0-litre V8 engine, the sprint from 0-60mph should take only 5.2 seconds. Enthusiasts will be delighted to know there"s an even greater chance of getting hold of one, too.
A source at the Luton firm revealed to Auto Express: "There will be more VXRs next year, as we sold out of the last version in hours." Expect around 150 of the hot models to be available, which is more than double the number offered when the car was originally introduced in the UK earlier this year.
The motor seen here is the Holden-badged version, which has already been released in its home market Down Under. A revised front spoiler and bonnet, plus projector-style headlights and new driving lamps, mark out the updated car. At the back, there"s an improved exhaust, while detail changes have been made to the interior.
The new models also get a pair of extra dials on the dashboard for battery voltage and oil pressure, while the VXR will have uprated brakes, too. Prices are yet to be confirmed, but a slight increase is likely, lifting the cost to about í‚á£37,000 for the range-topper. The first batch cost í‚á£35,595 at launch.
The entry-level Monaro is also expected to get a power hike as part of the changes. Modifications mean the 5.7-litre Corvette V8 engine will develop 348bhp, up 24bhp, but the price could pass through the í‚á£30,000 mark as a result. It is currently available for í‚á£28,650. The new line-up is expected to arrive here in March.
