The N95 is the first...
The N95 is the first product from the firm to enter the booming sat-nav market, and it has more than 100 countries loaded on to its memory.
In addition, it comes with an on-board GPS locator, so geatting from A to B should be as easy as phoning a friend. As well as route-planning, you can select destinations from an extensive database of points of interest, such as service stations, restaurants and car parks. The route is displayed on the 2.6-inch screen, and there’s voice guidance, too.
Unusually, the unit has a two-way slider. Push the screen upwards, and it reveals the keypad. Slide it down, and the controls for playing music and video are revealed. Battery life is good for up to seven hours playback, while the phone also gives 215 hours in standby mode and 160 minutes of call duration. The N95 is packed with features, including Bluetooth and wi-fi connectivity, has stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD memory card slot and mini USB connector for convenient data transfer.
If you’re snap happy, the unit also comprises a five-megapixel camera and video recorder, with an internal memory of 160Mb. Yet despite its long spec list, the phone tips the scales at only 120g.
