Here’s a blast from the past! It looks like a classic Fifties British MG, but the TD2000 is brand new and made in Malaysia by TD Cars. The rear-wheel-drive model, which uses Toyota RAV4 running gear and can be serviced by the Japanese firm’s dealers, costs from ?24,000. And it’s exclusive, with only four UK importers. Among them is Barry Owen of Broadwater Classics in Silverstone, Northants. He said: “The response has already has been good. It’s the quality and looks of the car that really catch people’s interest.”

Scrapped Volvos are being sought by green energy fans... because the parts are perfect for wind turbines! Hubs, bearings and disc brakes from old 120 and 240 models generate more power than shop-bought kits, and cost a fraction of the price, so are ideal building materials. "It"s nice to know the longest-lasting components are still useful," said a Volvo spokesman.
