Roadside adverts which show a message featuring the name of the car"s driver have been launched by the innovative manufacturer.

Using the latest radio frequency identification technology, the signs are triggered as motorists approach the billboards. MINI owners will be sent an individual key fob to keep in their vehicle so that they can take part. According to the firm, a typical message could be: "Motor like you mean it, Scott!" The scheme has been launched only in the US at present.
