Less is more when it...
Less is more when it comes to paintwork – at least that’s according to Citroen! The firm’s C-Cactus show car features unpainted doors among its raft of clever cost-cutting measures. The bare metal is lacquered to protect it against the elements, saving the cost of buying and applying traditional paint. A spokesman for the French company said the feature could be used on future production cars. And he added that if a model based on the C-Cactus went into production, it would cost around ÷£12,000, because the hybrid diesel/electric powertrain is expensive to produce. But a budget version with a conventional engine may also be offered for around half the price.
