The team worked out how to make the rear window vibrate, generating the low-frequency sounds which usually come from a subwoofer. Caran reckons the first see-through speaker will appear on new cars in 2007 - but he won"t reveal which marque will fit them first. Is this the ultimate toy? Porsche fans might think so. Designers from the sports car brand have been commissioned to pen a range of luxury yachts for Singapore-based boat maker Royal Falcon Fleet.
The initial project is a 40-foot catamaran created with the help of architects at Incat Crowther. Porsche designed the exterior of the hull and the interior ò€“ so itò€™s sure to be extravagant! No machine bearing the firmò€™s badge should lack the power to back its looks, so top naval technology specialist Kockums has been brought on board to develop the engine.
