It is thought that locations such as fast food chains would be provided for free, with the relevant businesses sponsoring the links. Other places could then be added as needed.

The insider revealed: "If you are a keen golfer, for example, you will want to know where courses are, but other people might prefer to know nightclub locations. You"ll be able to buy whatever data you need."
