After 23 cars self-combusted...

After 23 cars self-combusted, the French manufacturer was forced to recall and fix 28,000 vehicles built before May 2003. The fires, which all happened in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, only related to 1.6 or 2.0-litre petrol versions. All the cars went up in flames while the engine was turned off.

Honda may not be making...

Honda may not be making an appearance at this yearò€™s Frankfurt Motor Show, but that hasnò€™t stop the Japanese firm from making big plans for September.

This is the first image of the facelifted CR-V and has surfaced after being leaked on the Internet by a Japanese based Honda website.

From the image we can see that the bumper, grille and bonnet have all had slight revisions but any changes to the rear are yet to be confirmed.

Details on the engine line-up have still not been released but we expect cleaner, more frugal and better performing versions of the current 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2 diesel units.

The only other bit of information leaked through the website was the release date. With the worldò€™s media focused on Frankfurt this September, Honda has said the CR-V will make its world debut on September 17th, which conveniently coincides with the German expo.
