The duo are reportedly attempting to shoehorn the satellite-based Google Earth software into the dash. VW wants its own version to give birdseye images of terrain, and help drivers recognise the landscape more easily. It has also enlisted specialist 3D computer chip manufacturer Nvidia in the project.
