This is the QQ6, the latest supermini from Chinese manufacturer Chery Auto, and it"s due to arrive in showrooms in August. Developed under the codename S21, the little runaround will initially only be sold in China for 42,500 Yuan - the equivalent of ÷£2,900!

Unveiled at this week"s Geneva Motor Show, the car uses the 1.8-litre turbo engine from the standard 225bhp TT, yet the ECU has been modified to up the output to 240bhp. The new arrival offers 320Nm of torque, and with a 75kg reduction in weight, it covers 0-60mph in only 5.9 seconds, and has a 155mph top speed.

By claiming the Rally of France, the Citroen driver has closed the gap on the Ford of series leader Marcus Gronholm to only four points, with three rounds remaining in Japan, Ireland and finally in the fearsome forests of south Wales. “It was important for me to win and everything is still possible. It won’t be easy, but if I can take all those rallies then I will be world champion,” said Loeb (above), who is gunning for a fourth consecutive WRC crown.
