A four day police operation...

A four day police operation conducted in the Paddington recently caught 29 kerb crawlers and published details of their ages and where they had come from.

The men, caught by undercover WPCs from the Met"s Clubs and Vice Unit, were from all over London and the UK and included a chef from Middlesbrough and an antiques dealer from Morecambe.

A council spokesman said men should be aware that if they were caught kerb crawling they stood to lose their driving licences.

"Taking away licences is a good deterrent. Not many men would want to explain to friends and family why they can no longer drive," he said.
